| In her sculptural work since 1993, Janet Goldner has cut text and images into constructed steel sculptures using a welding torch as a drawing instrument, to examine contemporary social issues. Light passes through the craggy holes that form the letters. The steel forms combine social textual information with the sensuous formal appeal of their welded steel surfaces. |
