kalabougou
Kalabougou is a village across the Niger River from Segou where women have make pottery.
The village dates from the time of the Bamana Empire which thrived in the region from the 17th -19th centuries.
Janet lived in Kalabougou during her Fulbright Research Fellowship in 1994-5.

Janet would like to share the experience with a small group of up to 8 people.
We would like to make this an annual event.
